Vegetable printing with pre-schoolers

IMG_5524There’s an element of the unexpected involved with any kind of printmaking which is one of the things I love about it. I also love running a mini printing workshop at my daughters pre-school, put them together and more than ever you never quite know what’s going to happen!

To fit with the theme this term about ‘how things grow’ I brought along bags full of different fruit and vegetables for the children to print with.

Chunky pieces big enough to hold, cut different ways, sponge squares, trays of ready mix paint and we’re off!

Once they are dry they can be cut out to make a garden collage for frogs and bugs to be added in!

Some brilliant results, a pinch of mess and happy smiles all round!

Thank you to all the fab children & staff at North Wraxall Pre-School.
